Real Stock Mode in Moshimo StockSim lets you practice trading real US companies — Apple, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and more — for free, on their actual stock prices. The rest of the game revolves around 200 fictional companies, but Real Stock Mode is the one part built specifically around real, existing companies.

Prices aren't a live feed — they're the previous trading day's close, refreshed each morning. That means it's not built for minute-by-minute day trading practice, but it's well suited to a slower, research-oriented style: picking a company, then checking why its price moved against the news.

Interest in US stocks and ETFs keeps growing, but jumping straight into real money can feel intimidating — currency exposure, less familiar company names, and bigger price swings than many people are used to.

Real Stock Mode is a place to get comfortable with the whole flow — finding a stock, comparing its price against the news, and placing a buy or sell order — before any real money is involved. Many brokers offer their own demo or paper trading accounts, but they often require opening an account first, or only run for a limited trial period. Real Stock Mode needs no brokerage account or identity verification — it's simply part of the Moshimo StockSim app, available for as long as you want to use it.
